Job Description Job Title: Instructional Systems Designer Job Description: An Instructional Systems Designer for our Client s Valiant Angel Training team member focusing on development of new Valiant Angel Operator and Maintenance courses. Specific duties may include: 1. Lead/manage a single development effort or segment of an overall development effort using Project Management techniques. 2. Apply/improve established instructional design processes across an extensive curriculum. 3. Plan, design, administer, analyze and report the results of training needs assessment (TNA). 4. Participate in review/editing procedures for course materials. 5. Review, edit, and write course materials with input/assistance from subject matter experts (SMEs). 6. Assist SMEs with: a. Selection of appropriate instructional interventions. b. Development of instructionally sound course objectives. c. Design and development of realistic scenarios and case studies. d. Design and development of valid assessment items/tools and evaluating these materials. Skills and qualifications: The minimum skills and qualifications are: Demonstrated knowledge and application of adult education theories, methods, and strategies Minimum five years professional experience in systematic approaches to curriculum development Minimum of five years of operational experience working with imagery, geospatial or intelligence analyst tools/techniques; proven analysis, teamwork, and problem solving skills Minimum of five years of operational experience as either an imagery analyst or geospatial analyst; proven analysis, teamwork, and problem solving skills One year consulting experience providing systematic approaches to curriculum development processes (Instructional Systems Development) One-year experience with planning, developing, and applying training needs analyses or assessments One-year experience teaching in college, senior high school, military institution or other adult learning program Ability to work independently or in a multidisciplinary team environment; flexible; detail and deadline oriented Travel: This position will require travel to and from King of Prussia, PA and Suffolk, VA. Travel and overtime (if required) must be agreed and approved in advance by our Client. Security Requirements: Individual must be a U.S. citizen and hold a current TS/SCI level security clearance .
