DESCRIPTION The consultant will assist in the evaluation of client area application systems, programming requirements and processes (eg, new, enhancements or maintenance); in the preparation of application program specifications; and in the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost effective application solutions. The consultant will assist in the identification of business requirements and in devising system and programming alternatives and specifications. The consultant will study and analyze existing office procedures as assigned and prepare systems flow charts and logic diagrams to describe existing and proposed operations. Additionally, the consultant will code, debug and document programs andperform relate duties as assigned or requested. The candidates primary job will be as a Sr. CICS Systems Programmer. He/she will also help support various tools on a Mainframe environment. QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals must possess the skillset of a Sr. CICS Systems Programmer, as well as VTAM (config, support). Must have 10+ years in CICS support and past regulated industry experience (Health Care/Banking). Will also help support various tools on MF environment. On call 24X7 supporting production issues. SKILLS Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline10+ years in CICS suppor t, G OOD analytical ability and communication skills Synectics offers competitive salaries and a full suite of benefits.
