Position Description: The Reports and Analytics Developer is a position requiring demonstrated experience using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005+, Microsoft SQL database, SQL Reporting Services, and Java/VB Scripting. This position involves contributing to the organizing, planning and managing of a large, complex reporting environment, and performing project technical requirements, design, development and testing tasks similar to those performed by the rest of the development team. Collaboration skills with technical team members and customers is especially important since this position involves translating user requirements from both internal and external clients into functional capability that will represent the client to external parties and provide assurance of the clients management of resources. The Reports and Analytics developer will be supporting the Transmission Asset System project in developing operational and managerial reports using Hyperion and/or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) is desirable. Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: SQL Reporting Services 2005 (SSRS) Microsoft Analysis Services Microsoft SQL server Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Data Modeling/Dimensional Modeling/ER Diagrams Scripting (VB scripting/Java Scripting) Report Design/Information Design Skills Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Hyperion Performance Suite/Intelligence v9 or other Business Intelligence suite experience (such as MicroStrategy or Cognos) Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) is desirable. Web design, content layout HTML background Software development coordination with clients and management Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) for Microsoft.NET certification desired
