Job Description: * ACTIVE TOP SECRET LEVEL CLEARANCE REQUIRED.* A senior software engineer is needed to participate in the development of architectures and applications developed under sponsorship from the US Department of Defense, Transportation, and Homeland Security. The position includes development of Embedded applications for radar data processing as well as collaboration on sensor network connections, network services and network applications. EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Candidate must have five (5) or more years of software development experience in an object-oriented computer language. Experience with systems analysis, algorithm development, and/or radar data processing is required. Experience with Linux/Unix required. Experience with the full life cycle of software engineering process including functional specification, design, implementation, and testing is desirable. Experience with software development tools such as maven and svn is highly desired. SPECIAL TALENTS: Experience with development of Embedded surveillance systems in support of air traffic control, defense, or homeland security. Strong C++/Java programming skills and experience with modern software development tools is required. Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web based services development required. GUI development experience (especially Java Swing) a plus. Experience with Matlab, Multi-sensor fusion trackers, distributed Real Time systems, and Kalman filters is highly desired. Must have strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
