Job Description: WHY WAIT?Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity?This may be your lucky day!It is time for a change, and CDI can help!We have an immediate need for a Technical Writer/EditorJOB DESCRIPTIONLooking for a Technical Writer/Editor for a contract job!Preparation of presentation materials in MS PowerPoint and Excel requiring pre-work of data gathering and analysis, and perhaps some digital photography and data transfer Automotive experience in engine related areas is required General knowledge of base engine systems (Blocks, Heads, Cranktrain, etc.) General knowledge of engine management systems (Ignition, Fuel Delivery, Sensors, etc.) Tech Writer/Editor will mainly be engaged in: Developing and Editing BOM/BOD documents (Bills of Material/Bills of Design), both templates and individual documents for 16 different Product Management Teams (ie Blocks, Heads, Cranktrain, Valve train, Ignition, Fuel Delivery, Sensors, Exhaust, etc.) Work may lead to communization of best formatting practices across PMTs for like documents Maintaining documents on the PMT Websites Assist Technical Specialists with follow-up with Design Operations regarding template drawing generation Assist Technical Specialists with warranty data retrieval and post-processing to assist in data analysis Assist Technical Specialists with semi-annual staff meeting presentation materials (ie 16 PMTs times twice per year) Will work mainly in an office environment along-side and supporting engineering technical specialists TAKE ACTION!Why wait another day?It is time to act!Apply NOW and join the CDI Team TODAY!
