We have an immediate need for a JAVA DEVELOPER JOB DESCRIPTION The Integration Services (IS) organization is responsible for providing a messaging backbone to integrate disparate systems for domains such as problem, incident and change. The infrastructure consists of a proprietary Java based Enterprise Services Bus (ESB) that is virtualized among several Linux servers. Adapters are used to connect applications to the ESB also written in Java, but are configured via XML/XSL (T). Integration Services is unique compared to other ESB solutions in that mediations and transformations of the data are handled in the adapter rather than managed central in the more common model. The IS model provides a standardization for integration by employing the use of a Common Domain Model (CDM) to normalize the data that is transferred over the bus allowing for maximum reusability. The IS team requires an additional Java developer. Individual will be responsible for interpreting requirements, then designing, implementing and unit testing the integration components end to end. Ideal candidate should have 5 plus years software development experience. Prefer candidates with a full software development lifecycle (SDLC) background, including specific experience preparing design documents, conducting code reviews, creating and executing unit test plans. Must be able to create detailed unit test plans per requirements and document and execute unit tests to validate software functionality. Should have 2+ years Java experience. Should have good working knowledge of XML and XSL. Should have intermediate level SQL experience, preferably with DB2. Should be familiar with Linux environment, able to navigate around, copy files, use vi, etc. Familiarity with a variety of software development tools is a plus, (CMVC), build tools (ant/make), version control systems (Clearcase/CVS) and Web Services.
