Responsibilities
The Network Analyst will be responsible primarily for the operation of NIPR over the wireless network. He/she will coordinate with the DOIM who maintains the system. He/she will also insure that operating systems and applications are performing as expected, plan for the installation of new operating systems and applications such as Vista, deconflicting legacy and newly installed systems, reviewing the daily operation of the Ft Lee Army Logistics University (ALU) Non-classified IP Network (NIPR), comprised of Microsoft based servers and clients, and reporting note worthy occurrences such as security violations, network abnormalities, inappropriate access, network discrepancies and procedural violations. NIPR connectivity consists of both wired and wireless connection.
Minimum Requirements:
· A minimum certification of CWNA is required.
· Security+ or CISSP certification is required
· A minimum of three years hands-on experience configuring and trouble-shooting medium size wireless networks is required.
· The ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance is required
Preferred Experience/Education:
· Working knowledge of routers and firewalls
· Experience maintaining Dept. of the Army networks
· Experience with Enterasys networking equipment
· CWNP or CWNE certification
· Fortress Technologies experience
