TITLE: Inventory Reconciliations Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Finance REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Inventory Reconciliations
EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Exempt

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The Inventory Reconciliations Specialist of Orthovita, Inc., works directly with sales agents to reconcile field consignment inventory sites on an ongoing basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with sales agents to ensure the initial field counts are complete and accurate.
Review the field count against the records in Great Plains for discrepancies and note explanation for any that are able to be resolved during the initial review process.
Assist the sales agent to resolve any remaining discrepancies by summarizing the lot’s history and communicate possible avenues to research.
Work with the sales agent with an ongoing dialog through the reconciliation form and conference calls (as needed) to resolve as many as of the discrepancies as possible.
Communicate the final outcome of the reconciliation to the sales agent, sales management, and finance.
Summarize for the SSG Liaison any observations regarding the sales agent’s inventory management that maybe helpful in their interaction with them.
Communicate with sales agents regarding expired product that must be returned during the reconciliation process as well as soon to expire product that should be evaluated for return.
Communicate with sales agents regarding inventory rebalance at the conclusion of the reconciliation to reduce inventory levels based on the IV Turns and Expiry reports.
Support SSG with lot issue resolution during month end.
Communicate with sales management as needed for assistance when a sales agent does not submit a required step of the reconciliation process.
Help with the annual physical inventory count.
Assist the Supervisor, Inventory Reconciliations with Sales School (as needed)
Perform other duties as needed.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Supervisor, Inventory Reconciliations. Coordinates and interfaces activities with company sales representatives. Works closely with sales and marketing, and finance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No direct reports.
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS
Flexible work schedule is required to meet company goals. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred; or a minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions standardization exists ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
