Company Job Title: Manager, Protective Force Training (PFMT) Chenega Job Title: Project Manager IVClearance: Q LevelLocation: Albuquerque, New MexicoReports To: Director of Training and Education FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time Prepared Date: November 4, 2009Approved Date: November 4, 2009SummaryThe PFTM is the senior management contractor position is responsible and accountable for the management and operation of the Protective Force Training Department at the National Training Center, including supervision of Department training and support personnel. The PFTM supervises: (1) the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of quality, cost-effective training programs and services that meet the needs of protective force, security police, and law enforcement personnel of the Department of Energy (DOE), DOE contractors and subcontractors, and other federal, state, and local agencies; (2) planning and project management; and (3) human and capital resource management.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this positionThe PFMT reports to the Director of Training and Education (DTE), and provides day-to-day management of all protective training activities at the NTC main campus and lie fire range to include:- Development and maintenance of quality and professional cost-effective protective force training- Serves as the senior subject matter expert in protective force and police training design, development and conduct- Ensures Protective force training activities are conducted in accordance with contractual procedures and all other applicable quality, safety and health directivesSupervisionDirector reports to this position.Minimum QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in training, including experience as an instructor/training specialist, and management of the training function including supervision of associate personnel. Two years of this employment experience must be within the DoE protective force community.- Effective management skills (i.e., ability to apply principles, practices, and techniques of project and resources management, plan and execute operations goals and objective, and manage resources.).- Comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices underlying protective force, security police, and law enforcement occupations or professions and an understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the methods and techniques applied in the performance of the professional or occupational work.- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in applying theoretical and practical instructional system development (ISD) methods (i.e. analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation).- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work/interact with individuals of diverse characteristics, backgrounds, experiences, ethnicity, and personal attributes and to work constructively as a member of a team.- Effective communication (oral, written, and listening) skills (i.e., and ability to present and convey ideas, thoughts, and information clearly and concisely).Education and/or ExperienceA Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in business management, behavioral, sciences, education, adult learning, or a NTC related field; or a combination of other training and education background and relevant work experience.Computer SkillsFamiliarity with the Microsoft Suite.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance: At least a current Q access authorization or equivalent clearance Top Secret grant by another Federal agency that is current.Chenega Corporation is an EOE.
