PRINICIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Chief of Career Services / Site Contract Lead serves as the primary administrative and management resource for the FFSC's Career Support programs, in accordance with the Work Statement. The programs of Career and Financial are provided by staff at NAS North Island, Naval Base Point Loma and Naval Base San Diego. Besides staff support the Site Contract Lead provides supervision of Zeiders personnel and is the primary corporate management resource at the assigned location and works with the Government Site Manager. The Chief of Career Services / Site Contract Lead directs the overall program-based service delivery of Career Support Services and is responsible for overseeing service and program activity and coordinating program-based FFSC staff, material and program budget resources with the on-site program supervisors, as well as manages the program-based Quality Control Plan and provides input for required reports.
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in education, human/social services or a related field OR
Four (4) years experience providing social service education and career & retention consultation or counseling services
Two (2) years experience managing and coordinating adult education programs and services
Desired Qualifications:
Monitor and approve contract staff schedules and requests for leave
Coordinate weekly with government managers regarding staff scheduled absences to ensure that impact on service delivery is minimized
Provide oversight of contract staff performance and quality of services provided
Provide quarterly review of contract staff compliance with direct service productivity standards
Develop collaborative relationships with other military and civilian agencies in support of Fleet & Family Support Programs
Provides timely and effective program coordination and oversight and supervision of all contract staff within designated area of responsibility
Coordinate regularly with government representatives regarding staff schedules, performance and quality of services provided by contract staff
Monitor contract staffing training, staff compliance with contract performance standards and direct service productivity standards
