Jacob & Sundstrom, Inc. is an Information Technology firm seeking a junior level Windows Administrator to be with our team in Alexandria, VA location. In addition to the required skills necessary to be successful in this position, the incumbent must possess an active DoD security clearance. Hours would begin at 0600 preferrably but not required.
We are also needing this person to be relocatable and or commutable to Quantico in the next 2 years in conjunction with the BRAC realignment.
Responsibilities: Windows Systems Administration:Windows 2003 Server and Windows XP desktop operating system installation, configuration, upgrade, backup and recovery, account administration, printer administration, 3rd party software installation and maintenance, troubleshooting. Windows 2003 Active Directory Domain Controller day-to-day administration and operational support; working knowledge of Active Directory GPOs and system accounts; Active Directory auditing and monitoring. Configuration and administration of Windows Remote Access Services. Networking experience including, IP addressing, basic routing functions, DHCP and LDAP. Proficiency with Symantec Ghost imaging software. Eperience with McAfee virus protection and ePolicy Orchestrator. Information Assurance Support: familiarity with DISA/DoD information Assurance toolso Secure Configuration Compliance Validation initiative (SCCVI)o Secure Compliance Remediation Initiative (SCRI) Vulnerability scanning with Harris Stat, Retina, DISA Gold Disk System patching for remediation. Customer Service: Strong orientation to customer satisfaction.Proactively identify customer business problems/opportunities and recommend solutions.Pursue solutions and make decisions with a sense of urgency.Ability and willingness to work on multiple projects at one time and be able to adapt to changing priorities. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Willingness to both promote and exhibit team-oriented behavior. Ability to accept personal accountability and ownership for areas of responsibility. Flexibility to adapt to and a willingness to learn new technologies.Experience and education: 5 years work experience plus an AA degree in computer or related field or a total of 7 years hands on work experience. Position requires U.S. Citizenship.
